Cause

The driver may have been deleted.

If GP-Pro EX version 2.22 or earlier and GP-Pro EX version 2.50 or later are installed, and then you uninstall GP-Pro EX version 2.22 or earlier, the USB data transfer cable driver will not be recognized any more.

Solution

The solution to this issue is different depending on the GP-Pro EX version.

Versions 2.22 or before and 2.50

From the Windows [Control Panel] select [Add or Remove Programs] and repair GP-Pro EX version 2.50 (or if only the Transfer Tool is installed, repair that). Re-connect the USB data transfer cable.

Versions 2.22 or earlier and 2.60 or later

From the [Control Panel], select [Add/Remove Programs] and remove the [USB Data Transfer Driver]. Reconnect the data transfer cable.
