23.14.1 Restrictions on Passwords and IDs
-
The User ID and Password Input Window, the
Password Input Window, and the User ID Input Window cannot be
edited.
-
Passwords and User IDs cannot be entered from a
Device/PLC.
-
Passwords and User IDs cannot be entered from a
Bar Code Reader.
-
When the Password Input Window (the User ID Input
Window) or the User ID and Password Input Window is displayed, if
the Trigger Bit of the Local Window or the Global Window is turned
ON, close the Password Input Window (the User ID Input Window) or
the User ID and Password Input Window and then display.
-
Do not set [Continuous Read] for Window Parts to
call the Window Screens setting Security Level. The Password Input
Window or the User ID and Password Input Window is not shown on the
display unit even if you set it, and the security feature does not
run.
-
When setting up a screen with a security level
with no password, the screen cannot display until you input a
Password or a combination User ID/Password with a security level
that is greater than that of the screen.
If there is no Password or combination User ID/Password with a
security level higher than the screen, you cannot change
screens.
Example 1, when passwords are set as follows
and the screen changes to a level 4 screen
As there is a password with a security level greater than 4, screen
change is possible
Example 2, when passwords are set as follows
and the screen changes to a level 4 screen
As the password security level is less than 4, screen change is not
possible
-
In Level Mode (Do Not Add a User ID), an error
does not occur even though the Password is undefined. However, an
error occurs when you set the same Password.
In User ID Mode (Add a User ID), a Password has to be set. The same
Password can be set. However, when the User ID is undefined or the
User ID is duplicated, an error occurs and settings are not
completed.
-
When a security level is set on the initial
screen, which displays at startup after turning on display unit,
the initial screen is displayed followed by the Password Input
Window or the user ID and Password Input Window. As a result, the
initial screen is running while the Password Input Window or the
user ID and Password Input Window is open. The Password Input
Window displayed here cannot close with the [ESC] key, and the user ID and
Password Input Window cannot close with the [Cancel] key. The correct Password
or combination user ID and Password must be entered.
