20.11.5 Restrictions on Alarm Banner Display If a message contains characters that cannot be displayed, the message will display without those characters. There is no visual indication of missing characters. You can register up to 512 alarm messages. Set the monitoring bits within a 128 word range for all the Alarm Messages (Banner). You can show Alarm messages in banners or Memory Link (Ethernet) messages in banners, but not both. If you set both, an error will occur and the transfer cannot be performed.
