 The IPC unit doesn't start up displaying only a black screen and making a beeping sound.

Applicable Models

PL3000 series, PLx930 series, PL5910 series, PS-A series


Even after a IPC unit is turned on, if it does not start up displaying only a black screen and making a beeping sound, a contact error in the main memory may cause it. For recovery from the error, follow the instructions below.
 Instructions
1. Remove and then insert the main memory in the power off state. While the memory is removed, make sure that it is not dust-covered.
2. If the unit has two memory slots, and if the state remains the same even after the action instructed in 1, insert the memory in another slot to see if it gets recovered.
3. If the unit does not get recovered even after the actions instructed in 1 and 2, a hardware error may cause the state. In this case, contact your local Pro-face distributor or nearest Pro-face sales office.
