| Problem: A QuickDesigner application, using the Allen-Bradley Ethernet protocol, loses communication with a SLC5/05.
After removing most of the tags and screens within the project, communications can be re-established. |
| |
|
| This is typically due to corruption of the variable tags. |
| |
|
| Solution: |
| |
|
| 1. Go to the Tag List and "Purge" all of the tags. |
| 2. Go to each one of the screens and open it up. Then save the screen. |
| 3. While you are saving the screens, the Tag data base is being rebuilt within the project. |
| 4. Download the project to the panel and make sure that the "Update Display Device Executable" is checked when the "Courier.ini" window opens. |
| |
|
| This procedure may also work to fix other odd occurrences within QD projects. |
