 |
| A Device/PLC driver cannot be deleted. |
 |
Cause
|
Scenario 1: When you have a project with 2 or more Devices/PLCs, one of them is set as the "System Area Device."
To check
which Device/PLC is set for this, go to [System Settings,] [Display Unit.] If the Device/PLC listed in the "System Area Device"
is the one you wish to delete, GP-Pro EX will not allow you to delete it.
Connection devices(*) allocated to the system data area cannot be deleted.
Scenario 2: When one memory link driver and one PLC driver are allocated, it's not possible to delete
only the PLC driver and keep the memory link.
| * |
Even if [Enable System Data Area] is not checked, when the connection device is set for System
Area Device, GP-Pro EX judges that the device has allocated addresses and therefore, will not allow
that device to be deleted. |
|

[System Settings Window]→[Display Unit]→[System Area] |
|
Solution
|
Scenario 1. When the system data area is set to the connection device that you want to delete, |
|
・Allocate the system data area to another device.
|
|
Scenario 2. When one memory link driver and one PLC driver are selected, |
|
| 1. |
Connection device 1: MEMLINK
Connection device 2: (PLC driver) → Change to MEMLINK |
| 2. |
Connection device 1: MEMLINK
Connection device 2: in the state of MEMLINK, delete the second MEMLINK. |
