| Solution 1 |
Find out if the problem is a software or a hardware issue. Disconnect the cable between the PLC and
the AGP. Cycle the power on the AGP to check if the problem can be seen. |

The AGP uses a section of internal memory (LS0000-LS0020) to store system values. This area is called
the System Data Area. These 20 addresses can be written into the Device/PLC by enabling the System Data Area and designating
a System Start Address. This allows the AGP and the PLC to exchange system data information.
Two addresses in this area affect the display. LS0009 (+09) is "Screen Display ON/OFF" and LS0014 (+14) Bit 0 is "Backlight OFF."
If
LS0009 is set to a HEX value of "FFFF," the display will be off. If Bit 0 of LS0014 is On, the backlight will turn off. Check
both of these values in the AGP.
If you have enabled the System Start Area in the PLC, you should check to see that
these addresses are not being used in your PLC's program for other uses.
For additional information on the LS Area and the System Data Area, see Appendix A, Section 1.4 and 1.5, of
the AGP Reference Manual.

| MEMO |
You can set the System Start Address with... |
*
The software, GP-Pro EX: |
Go to [System Setting Window] -> [Main Unit Settings] -> [System Area Settings] |

It is possible that the system area in the AGP hardware has become corrupted. Reinstall the AGP's system
data by downloading an AGP project, doing a Forced System transfer.
| MEMO |
How to Setup a Forced System Transfer |
*
In the Transfer Tool, Click [Transfer Setting]. Select [Forced] in [Transfer System]. Send the project to the AGP again.
Note: A Forced System Download requires more time for the transfer. Change back to Automatic Transfer for faster downloads. |

An orange LED on the front of the AGP indicates the backlight has burned out. Some backlights are field
replaceable, others must be repaired at your local repair center. Please check the Maintenance section of the AGP3000 Hardware Manual
