 How to use a new Parts Palette with GP-Pro EX

Registering a Parts Palette (a pdx file) in GP-Pro EX allows you to use real-looking parts suitable for your environment as lamps and switches.

Registration of Parts Palette
Save the downloaded Parts Palette (.pdx file) in the following folder:

GP-Pro EX Ver. 2.20 or higher
GP-Pro EX Ver. 2.10 or lower



C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Documents\Pro-face\GP-Pro EX ***\pdx C:\Program Files\Pro-face\GP-Pro EX ***\pdx

Memo: "***" is substituted for the version of the screen editor.
NOTE
- The added Parts Palette will be listed after restarting GP-Pro EX.


Usage of Parts Palette

IMPORTANT
Please be sure to make the following settings in GP-Pro EX before using a Parts Palette. Otherwise, colors of parts may not be displayed properly.
1. Start up GP-Pro EX. Click the [System Settings] button on the top left of the screen editor to show the [System Settings] window. Select [Display Unit].


2. Select the [Display] tab and change the [Color] in the [Display Settings] area as follows:


Models that support parts with 65536 colors
--> "65536 Colors, No Blink"
Models that support parts with 256 colors
--> "256 Colors, No Blink"
* Some models may not have this color selection. In this case, please select [Color] more than 256 colors.

1. Start up GP-Pro EX. Select the [View (V)] menu -> [Work Space (W)] ->
[Parts Toolbox (T)].


2. The [Parts Toolbox] window will appear.
It is easier to view if you expand the area.


 
3. Click the icon next to [Parts Palette] and select the added Parts Palette.


4. Select a part and drag and drop it on the screen.
